إِذْ قَالَ لَهُۥ رَبُّهُۥٓ أَسْلِمْ ۖ قَالَ أَسْلَمْتُ لِرَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
'Idh' qāla lahu rabbuhu 'as'lim' . qāla 'as'lam'tu lirabbi l-ʻālamīna
Behold! his Lord said to him: "Bow (thy will to Me):" He said: "I bow (my will) to the Lord and Cherisher of the Universe."

When his Lord told him to submit, Ibrahim said: I submit to the Lord of all the worlds.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "How quickly did Ibrahim say yes?"
A short clip on Ummah Muslim recites ayah 131 of Al-Baqarah. Play the whole clip.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did Ibrahim say?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why was his answer immediate?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Baqarah is surah 2. Find ayah 131. Ibrahim didn't hesitate. When Allah said submit, he said 'aslamtu'. Quick obedience shows love.
Fact: Aslamtu means 'I have submitted'.
Ages 5–8: Quick yes. Say yes quickly to a good request.
Ages 9–12: Submission. Write what 'aslamtu' means for you.
Finish with: "Aslamtu means I have ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will pray as soon as I hear the adhan."
Action: Pray as soon as you hear the adhan.
