Start with bismillah.

Ask: "What good deed of yours might still be helping someone years from now?"

Begin Omar Hisham Al Arabi's Maryam on Learn Quran and listen for a few minutes.

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What are best with your Lord?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "What are 'lasting good deeds'?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Maryam is surah 19. Find ayah 76. Al-baqiyat as-salihat are good deeds that last. Seek guidance and Allah gives more. Small lasting deeds grow like a tree over time.

Fact: Find another ayah about lasting good deeds (Al-Kahf 18:46).

Ages 5–8: Plant a deed. Plant a seed and name it after a good deed.

Ages 9–12: Lasting deeds. List deeds whose reward keeps going.

Finish with: "I found it in Surah ___, ayah ___."

• How does guidance grow?
• What will you plant?
