۞ فَخَلَفَ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِمْ خَلْفٌ أَضَاعُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَٱتَّبَعُوا۟ ٱلشَّهَوَٰتِ ۖ فَسَوْفَ يَلْقَوْنَ غَيًّا
fakhalafa min[m] baʻ'dihim' khal'fun 'aḍāʻū ṣṣalāta wa-ttabaʻū shshahawāti . fassaw'fa yal'qaw'na ghayyan
But after them there followed a posterity who missed prayers and followed after lusts soon, then, will they face Destruction,-

After them came people who neglected prayer and followed their desires, and they will face ruin.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What happens to a garden if no one looks after it?"
Al-Quran Al-Karim has a short Maryam clip of Muhammad Al-Luhaidan reciting ayat 59–76. Play it all.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did the later people neglect?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why is losing prayer such a big loss?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Maryam is surah 19. Find ayah 59. Later generations stopped caring about prayer and chased their wishes. Like a neglected garden, the heart grows weeds without prayer. This ayah warns calmly.
Fact: Find the ayah that says prayer stops shameful deeds (Al-'Ankabut 29:45).
Ages 5–8: Garden care. Water a plant and talk about caring for prayer.
Ages 9–12: Protect prayer. Write a plan to never miss prayer.
Finish with: "I found it in Surah ___, ayah ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will pray every prayer on time."
Action: Pray every prayer on time.
