فَٱتَّخَذَتْ مِن دُونِهِمْ حِجَابًۭا فَأَرْسَلْنَآ إِلَيْهَا رُوحَنَا فَتَمَثَّلَ لَهَا بَشَرًۭا سَوِيًّۭا
Fa-ttakhadhat' min dūnihim' ḥijāban fa'ar'salnā 'ilay'hā rūḥanā fatamaththala lahā basharan sawiyyan
She placed a screen (to screen herself) from them; then We sent her our angel, and he appeared before her as a man in all respects.

Maryam screened herself away, and Allah sent His angel to her, appearing in the form of a man.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What do you know about angels?"
a reciter recites Maryam on Qalam Collegiate Academy. A few minutes is plenty.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Who did Allah send to Maryam?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why did the angel come?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Maryam is surah 19. Find ayah 17. Allah sent the angel Jibril to Maryam with a message. She was in her private place. Angels carry Allah's messages.
Fact: Find the name of the angel who brings revelation in Al-Baqarah (2:97).
Ages 5–8: Angel facts. Share one thing you know about angels.
Ages 9–12: Messengers. Write what angels do for Allah.
Finish with: "I found the angel is ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will learn the names of four angels."
