وَٱذْكُرْ فِى ٱلْكِتَٰبِ مَرْيَمَ إِذِ ٱنتَبَذَتْ مِنْ أَهْلِهَا مَكَانًۭا شَرْقِيًّۭا
Wa -dh'kur' fī l-kitābi mar'yama 'idhi (i)ntabadhat' min' 'ah'lihā makānan shar'qiyyan
Relate in the Book (the story of) Mary, when she withdrew from her family to a place in the East.

Allah asks us to remember how Maryam moved away from her people to a quiet spot towards the east.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Do you have a quiet place to think and pray?"
Listen together as Mansour Al-Salmi recites ayat 16–33 of Maryam, a short clip shared by Al Quran Guidance .
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Which direction did Maryam go?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why did Maryam want a quiet place?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Maryam is surah 19. Find ayah 16. Maryam, peace be upon her, was a devoted worshipper. She went to a quiet place towards the east. Quiet places help us focus on Allah.
Fact: Find where Maryam was cared for in the prayer room (Al Imran 3:37).
Ages 5–8: Quiet corner. Set up a quiet corner at home for prayer and reading.
Ages 9–12: Maryam. Write what you know about Maryam's character.
Finish with: "I found it in Surah ___, ayah ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will use a quiet corner for prayer or Quran."
Action: Use a quiet corner for prayer or Quran.
