وَأَمَّا ٱلْغُلَٰمُ فَكَانَ أَبَوَاهُ مُؤْمِنَيْنِ فَخَشِينَآ أَن يُرْهِقَهُمَا طُغْيَٰنًۭا وَكُفْرًۭا
Wa 'ammā l-ghulāmu fakāna 'abawāhu mu''minay'ni fakhashīnā 'an yur'hiqahumā ṭugh'yānan wakuf'ran
"As for the youth, his parents were people of Faith, and we feared that he would grieve them by obstinate rebellion and ingratitude (to Allah and man).

The teacher explained that the boy's parents were believers, and it was feared he would cause them great harm through rebellion and disbelief.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Do parents always know what's ahead?"
Ahmed Al-Ajmi's Al-Kahf is on Ayat ALQURAN. Play the beginning and listen together.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What kind of people were the parents?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How does Allah protect believers in ways they can't see?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Kahf is surah 18. Find ayah 80. Allah knew the boy's future and protected his believing parents' faith. Only Allah knows the future. This was Allah's command, not something anyone may judge or copy.
Fact: Find the ayah that says Allah knows and you do not (Al-Baqarah 2:216).
Ages 5–8: Parent du'a. Make du'a for your parents.
Ages 9–12: Unseen knowledge. Write why only Allah knows the future.
Finish with: "I found it in Surah ___, ayah ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will make du'a for my parents daily."
Action: Make du'a for your parents daily.
