وَإِنَّا لَجَٰعِلُونَ مَا عَلَيْهَا صَعِيدًۭا جُرُزًا
How to read it
Wa 'innā lajāʻilūna mā ʻalay'hā ṣaʻīdan juruzan
Verily what is on earth we shall make but as dust and dry soil (without growth or herbage).

4-I guide
Allah will turn everything on the earth into bare, dry ground.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What happens to a flower after a few weeks?"
Hear the opening minutes of Al-Kahf in Abdul Basit Abdus-Samad's voice, from روائع فضيلة الشيخ/ عبد الباسط عبد الصمد.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What will the earth's beauty become?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "If it all ends, what should I hold on to?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Kahf is surah 18. Find ayah 8. All the shiny things of this world will one day turn to dust. Good deeds don't. So we enjoy the world but don't get stuck on it.
Fact: How long does a cut flower last in a vase? Find out.
Ages 5–8: Flower watch. Watch a flower wilt over a few days.
Ages 9–12: What lasts. Write what lasts when beauty fades.
Finish with: "I found it lasts about ___ days."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will spend time on something that lasts."
Action: Spend time on something that lasts.
