Ask: "How does the sun tell us prayer times?"

A short clip on Iqbal Ubaidillah Al-irsyad recites ayat 78–82 of Al-Isra. Play the whole clip.

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Which time of recitation is witnessed?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How do prayer times follow the sun?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Isra is surah 17. Find ayah 78. A sign to ponder: Dhuhr starts when the sun passes its highest point, and Fajr begins at dawn's first light. The sun is our prayer clock. Fajr recitation is specially witnessed.

Fact: What time is Dhuhr and Fajr today in your town?

Ages 5–8: Sun clock. Watch your shadow at noon and in the afternoon.

Ages 9–12: Prayer times. Write how each prayer links to the sun.

Finish with: "I found Dhuhr is at ___ and Fajr at ___."
