Start with bismillah.

Ask: "Why does a bird need two wings to fly?"

Muhammad Siddiq Al-Minshawi recites Al-Isra on Sabir Azghar. A few minutes is plenty.

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What do they hope for and fear?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why do we need both hope and fear?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Isra is surah 17. Find ayah 57. Some people prayed to righteous beings, but those beings themselves worship Allah, hoping and fearing. Hope and fear are like two wings that help a believer fly straight.

Fact: Find the ayah about calling on Allah in fear and hope (Al-A'raf 7:56).

Ages 5–8: Two wings. Make a paper bird with 'hope' and 'fear' on the wings.

Ages 9–12: Balance. Write why both hope and fear help us.

Finish with: "I found it in Surah ___, ayah ___."

Talk together:

• What is hope?
• Which name of Allah does this remind you of?
• Why some fear too?
• How do you balance them?

Make a small plan: "This week, I will hope for Allah's mercy and avoid what He dislikes."

• Hope and be careful.
• Make your bird.
• Share your writing.
• Next time: the next ayah (17:58) speaks of towns. Explore it together!

Action: Hope for Allah's mercy and avoid what He dislikes.
