أَوْ يَأْخُذَهُمْ عَلَىٰ تَخَوُّفٍۢ فَإِنَّ رَبَّكُمْ لَرَءُوفٌۭ رَّحِيمٌ
'Aw' ya''khudhahum' ʻalā takhawwufin fa'inna rabbakum' lara'ūfun rraḥīmun
Or that He may not call them to account by a process of slow wastage - for thy Lord is indeed full of kindness and mercy.

Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Why might Allah give people time to change?"
Abdul Rahman Al-Ossi recites An-Nahl on The Quran e Karim. A few minutes is plenty.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Which two names end the ayah?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why does a warning end with mercy?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah An-Nahl is surah 16. Find ayah 47. Even in warnings, Allah reminds us He is Ar-Ra'uf and Ar-Rahim: Kind and Merciful. He often gives people time, little by little, to turn back.
Fact: Ar-Ra'uf appears in this ayah. Find it again in Al-Baqarah 2:143.
Ages 5–8: Kind names. Learn Ar-Ra'uf and Ar-Rahim with their meanings.
Ages 9–12: Mercy in warnings. Write why Allah mixes warnings with mercy.
Finish with: "Al-Baqarah 2:143 ends with ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will use my time to change one habit."
Action: Use your time to change one habit.
