Wa 'idhā qīla lahum mmādhā 'anzala rabbukum' qālū 'assāṭīru l-'awwalīna
When it is said to them, "What is it that your Lord has revealed?" they say, "Tales of the ancients!"

When they are asked what their Lord has sent down, they say it is just old stories from long ago.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Are old things always out of date?"
For a few quiet minutes, listen to Hazza Al-Balushi reciting An-Nahl, shared by Koran.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What do the deniers call the revelation?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why is the Quran still fresh today?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah An-Nahl is surah 16. Find ayah 24. Deniers called the Quran 'old stories'. But its guidance is true for every time. Compare with 16:30, where believers answer: 'Goodness!'
Fact: Read 16:30 and compare the two answers.
Ages 5–8: Old but true. Talk about advice from grandparents that is still true.
Ages 9–12: Two answers. Write the deniers' and the believers' answers.
Finish with: "In 16:30 believers say ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will learn one ayah and use it in my day."
Action: Learn one ayah and use it in your day.
