لَا جَرَمَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَعْلَمُ مَا يُسِرُّونَ وَمَا يُعْلِنُونَ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ لَا يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُسْتَكْبِرِينَ
Lā jarama 'anna -llaha yaʻ'lamu mā yussirrūna wamā yuʻ'linūna . 'innahu lā yuḥibbu l-mus'tak'birīna
Undoubtedly Allah doth know what they conceal, and what they reveal: verily He loveth not the arrogant.

Allah surely knows both their secrets and what they show openly, and He does not love the arrogant.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Why don't people like show-offs?"
Put on Ahmed Al-Ajmi's An-Nahl from Lumiere sur Lumiere and follow along for a little while.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Whom does Allah not love?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How can I avoid being arrogant?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah An-Nahl is surah 16. Find ayah 23. Allah knows everything about us. He does not love arrogance, thinking we are better than others. Humble people are loved by Allah.
Fact: Luqman 31:18 warns against walking proudly. Read it.
Ages 5–8: Humble or proud. Act out humble and proud ways to win a game.
Ages 9–12: Humility. Write three ways to stay humble.
Finish with: "Luqman 31:18 says ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will congratulate someone who beats me."
Action: Congratulate someone who beats you.
