وَلَقَدْ جَآءَهُمْ رَسُولٌۭ مِّنْهُمْ فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَخَذَهُمُ ٱلْعَذَابُ وَهُمْ ظَٰلِمُونَ
Wa laqad' jā'ahum' rassūlun mmin'hum' fakadhdhabūhu fa'akhadhahumu l-ʻadhābu wahum' ẓālimūna
And there came to them a Messenger from among themselves, but they falsely rejected him; so the Wrath seized them even in the midst of their iniquities.

A messenger from among them came to them, but they rejected him, so punishment seized them while they were doing wrong.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What happens when people reject good advice?"
Settle down and play the start of Nasser Al-Qatami's An-Nahl (Kuran Mektebi).
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Who came to the town?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why do people reject their messengers?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah An-Nahl is surah 16. Find ayah 113. The town's own messenger came, but they rejected him. One calm line about the result. We listen to good advice.
Fact: Look up Al-Mu'minun 23:44 about messengers being rejected.
Ages 5–8: Listen. Practise listening fully to advice.
Ages 9–12: Rejection. Write why rejecting good advice hurts us.
Finish with: "Al-Mu'minun 23:44 says ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will follow good advice the first time."
Action: Follow good advice the first time.
