وَقَضَيْنَآ إِلَيْهِ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلْأَمْرَ أَنَّ دَابِرَ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ مَقْطُوعٌۭ مُّصْبِحِينَ
Wa qaḍay'nā 'ilay'hi dhālika l-'am'ra 'anna dābira hā'ulā'i maq'ṭūʻun mmuṣ'biḥīna
And We made known this decree to him, that the last remnants of those (sinners) should be cut off by the morning.

Allah told Lut that by morning the wrongdoers would be gone.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Why does the Quran tell such serious stories?"
Begin Abdul Basit Abdus-Samad's Al-Hijr on Quran Recitations and listen for a few minutes.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "When would the end come?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "What is the lesson for us?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Hijr is surah 15. Find ayah 66. This is a calm, serious part of the story: the wrongdoers would be gone by morning. It reminds us that wrong doesn't last.
Fact: Find a similar ayah in Hud (11:81).
Ages 5–8: Lesson. Talk about what this story teaches.
Ages 9–12: Wrong doesn't last. Write why wrongdoing ends.
Finish with: "I found it in Surah ___, ayah ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will choose good over wrong."
Action: Choose good over wrong.
