Start with bismillah.

Ask: "Why would someone be told not to look back?"

Play the short clip from Sheikh Dr Mahir Al Muaiqly Qirats of Maher Al-Muaiqly reciting part of Al-Hijr of Al-Hijr.

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "When were they told to leave?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why did Lut walk behind his family?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Hijr is surah 15. Find ayah 65. Lut walked behind his family to protect them, like a shepherd. Not looking back means leaving wrong behind completely.

Fact: Find where Musa was also told to travel by night (Ta-Ha 20:77).

Ages 5–8: Leader at the back. Walk in a line with a parent at the back.

Ages 9–12: Don't look back. Write about leaving a bad habit completely.

Finish with: "I found it in Surah ___, ayah ___."

Talk together:

• Why walk behind?
• Which name of Allah does this remind you of?
• Why not look back?
• What habit will you leave?

Make a small plan: "This week, I will leave one bad habit behind."
