قَالَ لَمْ أَكُن لِّأَسْجُدَ لِبَشَرٍ خَلَقْتَهُۥ مِن صَلْصَٰلٍۢ مِّنْ حَمَإٍۢ مَّسْنُونٍۢ
Qāla lam' 'akun lli'as'juda libasharin khalaq'tahu min ṣalṣālin mmin' ḥama'in mmas'nūnin
(Iblis) said: "I am not one to prostrate myself to man, whom Thou didst create from sounding clay, from mud moulded into shape."

Iblis said he would never bow to a human made from clay.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Is anyone better because of what they are made of?"
Put on Maher Al-Muaiqly's Al-Hijr from الشيخ ماهر بن حمد المعيقلي and follow along for a little while.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did Iblis look down on?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why was his excuse wrong?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Hijr is surah 15. Find ayah 33. Iblis thought being made of fire made him better. That's pride. Allah values obedience and good hearts, not what we are made of.
Fact: Find the ayah that says the noblest is the most mindful (Al-Hujurat 49:13).
Ages 5–8: Not better. Talk about why no one is better because of skin, family or money.
Ages 9–12: Pride. Write why looking down on others is wrong.
Finish with: "I found it in Surah ___, ayah ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will treat everyone as equal."
Action: Treat everyone as equal.
