إِلَّا مَنِ ٱسْتَرَقَ ٱلسَّمْعَ فَأَتْبَعَهُۥ شِهَابٌۭ مُّبِينٌۭ
'Illā mani (i)s'taraqa ssam'ʻa fa'at'baʻahu shihābun mmubīnun
But any that gains a hearing by stealth, is pursued by a flaming fire, bright (to see).

Any devil that tries to sneak a listen is chased by a bright flame.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Have you ever seen a shooting star?"
A short clip on Umair Asif recites ayat 16–25 of Al-Hijr. Play the whole clip.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What chases the sneaking devil?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "What are shooting stars?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Hijr is surah 15. Find ayah 18. A sign to ponder: shooting stars are bits of rock burning up as they hit our air. The Quran tells us they also guard the sky. Allah knows best how.
Fact: How fast does a shooting star travel? Find out.
Ages 5–8: Shooting stars. Watch for shooting stars on a clear night with an adult.
Ages 9–12: Meteors. Write what a meteor is.
Finish with: "I found they travel about ___ km per second."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will learn one fact about meteors."
Action: Learn one fact about meteors.
Watch the night sky only with an adult.
