وَلَوْ فَتَحْنَا عَلَيْهِم بَابًۭا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ فَظَلُّوا۟ فِيهِ يَعْرُجُونَ
Wa law' fataḥ'nā ʻalay'him bāban mmina ssamā'i faẓallū fīhi yaʻ'rujūna
Even if We opened out to them a gate from heaven, and they were to continue (all day) ascending therein,

Even if Allah opened a gate in the sky for them and they kept climbing up through it,
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Would climbing into the sky make everyone believe?"
Begin Mishary Alafasy's Al-Hijr on Donate A Prayer and listen for a few minutes.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What would they climb through?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Is seeing always believing?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Hijr is surah 15. Find ayah 14. This ayah imagines a huge miracle: a gate in the sky. The next ayah shows that stubborn hearts would still refuse. Belief starts in the heart.
Fact: How high does the sky go before space begins? Find out.
Ages 5–8: Sky climb. Draw a ladder going up to the clouds.
Ages 9–12: Seeing and believing. Write why open hearts matter more than miracles.
Finish with: "I found space begins about ___ km up."
Talk together:
