4-I guide
Alif, Lam, Ra: these are the ayat of the Book, a Quran that makes things clear.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What makes something easy to understand?"
Put on a reciter's Al-Hijr from Mufid Media and follow along for a little while.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Which three letters open the surah?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why does Allah call the Quran clear?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Hijr is surah 15. Find ayah 1. Al-Hijr is named after a rocky place where the people of Thamud lived. It opens with three letters whose full meaning Allah knows, then calls the Quran clear.
Fact: Which other surahs begin with Alif Lam Ra? Find two.
Ages 5–8: Three letters. Find alif, lam and ra on the first line of Al-Hijr in your mushaf.
Ages 9–12: Surah map. Skim the translation and list the stories told in Al-Hijr.
Finish with: "I found ___ and ___ also begin with Alif Lam Ra."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will read the meaning of a few ayat of Al-Hijr each day."
Action: Read the meaning of a few ayat of Al-Hijr each day.
