Start with bismillah.

Ask: "What can old ruins teach us?"

Listen together as Muhammad Al-Luhaidan recites ayat 42–52 of Ibrahim, a short clip shared by Al-Quran Al-Karim.

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Where did these people live?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why do some people not learn from others' mistakes?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ibrahim is surah 14. Find ayah 45. Some people lived among the ruins of nations who had been destroyed for wrongdoing. They saw the signs and heard the examples, but did not change. A wise person learns from others' mistakes.

Fact: With a grown-up, look for the ayah inviting people to travel and see what happened to earlier nations (Al-An'am 6:11).

Ages 5–8: Learn from others. Talk about a mistake you saw someone make and what you learned.

Ages 9–12: Lessons from history. Write why history is a teacher.

Finish with: "The ayah I found, Al-An'am 6:11, teaches ___."

Talk together:

• Which name of Allah does this remind you of?
• What can we learn from others' mistakes?
• Which lesson will you remember?

Make a small plan: "This week, I will learn one lesson from a story in the Quran."
