رَبَّنَا ٱغْفِرْ لِى وَلِوَٰلِدَىَّ وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَوْمَ يَقُومُ ٱلْحِسَابُ
Rabbanā (i)gh'fir' lī waliwālidayya walil'mu''minīna yaw'ma yaqūmu l-ḥissābu
"O our Lord! cover (us) with Thy Forgiveness - me, my parents, and (all) Believers, on the Day that the Reckoning will be established!

Ibrahim asked his Lord to forgive him, his parents and all the believers on the Day when everyone is called to account.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Who do you make du'a for?"
Tajweed posted a short recitation of ayat 40–41 of Ibrahim. Listen to all of it together.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Who did Ibrahim ask forgiveness for?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why should I make du'a for my parents?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ibrahim is surah 14. Find ayah 41. Ibrahim's du'a includes himself, his parents and every believer. It is a beautiful du'a to say for our families. Praying for others shows love.
Fact: Search the Quran for another du'a for parents (Al-Isra 17:24).
Ages 5–8: Parents' du'a. Learn the meaning of 'Rabbanaghfir li wa li walidayya'.
Ages 9–12: Praying for others. Write why making du'a for others is good for us too.
Finish with: "In Al-Isra 17:24, Allah tells us ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will make du'a for my parents after every prayer."
Action: Make du'a for your parents after every prayer.
