Settle down and play the start of Mishary Alafasy's Ar-Ra'd (Alafasy).

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "In which language was this guidance sent?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why should knowledge come before what I want?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ar-Ra'd is surah 13. Find ayah 37. The Quran came as clear guidance in Arabic. The ayah warns about following people's wishes after the truth has come. Even the Prophet was told this, to teach us: once we know what is right, we follow it, not our wants.

Fact: Learn one Arabic word from the Quran and its meaning, such as 'rabb' (Lord).

Ages 5–8: Arabic word. Learn one Arabic word each day this week.

Ages 9–12: Knowledge first. Write about a time you chose what was right over what you wanted.
