Ask: "What holds up the roof of your house?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What can we not see holding up the sky?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How does the sky stay up with no pillars?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ar-Ra'd is surah 13. Find ayah 2. A house needs walls and pillars. The great sky above us has none that we can see. Allah holds everything in place. He is above all His creation in a way that suits His majesty, and nothing is like Him. The sun and moon each run until a time Allah has set.

Fact: Gravity is the invisible pull that keeps the Moon going around the Earth. A sign to ponder: an unseen force holds the sky's lights in their paths.

Ages 5–8: Pillar test. Build a paper roof on cups, then take the cups away. What happens?

Ages 9–12: Unseen forces. Write about something real that we cannot see, like gravity or air.

Finish with: "Without the cups, my paper roof ___."

Talk together:

• What holds up the sky?
• Which name of Allah does this remind you of?
• What other things are real but unseen?
• How does this ayah make you feel when you look up?

Make a small plan: "This week, I will look up at the sky and say subhanallah."
