قَالُوا۟ تَٱللَّهِ لَقَدْ ءَاثَرَكَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْنَا وَإِن كُنَّا لَخَٰطِـِٔينَ
Qālū ta-llahi laqad' 'ātharaka -llahu ʻalay'nā wa'in kunnā lakhāṭi'īna
They said: "By Allah! indeed has Allah preferred thee above us, and we certainly have been guilty of sin!"

They swore by Allah that Allah had raised him above them and admitted they had done wrong.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "How hard is it to say 'I was wrong'?"
Quran For Humanity has a short Yusuf clip of Idrees Abkar reciting ayat 88–98. Play it all.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did the brothers admit?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why is admitting wrong the first step to fixing it?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Yusuf is surah 12. Find ayah 91. The brothers finally admitted their mistake. Saying 'we were wrong' takes courage. It is the first step to forgiveness.
Fact: Al-A'raf 7:23 is the du'a of Adam and Hawwa admitting their mistake. Read it.
Ages 5–8: I was wrong. Practise saying 'I was wrong, I'm sorry' sincerely.
Ages 9–12: Admitting. Write why admitting mistakes makes us stronger.
Finish with: "Al-A'raf 7:23 says ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will say sorry sincerely when I'm wrong."
Action: Say sorry sincerely when you're wrong.
