قَالُوا۟ نَفْقِدُ صُوَاعَ ٱلْمَلِكِ وَلِمَن جَآءَ بِهِۦ حِمْلُ بَعِيرٍۢ وَأَنَا۠ بِهِۦ زَعِيمٌۭ
Qālū naf'qidu ṣūāʻa l-maliki waliman jā'a bihī ḥim'lu baʻīrin wa'anā bihī zaʻīmun
They said: "We miss the great beaker of the king; for him who produces it, is (the reward of) a camel load; I will be bound by it."

They said they were missing the king's measuring cup, that whoever brought it back would get a camel's load, and that Yusuf promised it.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Why do people offer rewards for lost things?"
Listen together as Nasser Al-Qatami recites ayat 69–87 of Yusuf, a short clip shared by Al-Quran Al-Karim.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What reward was offered?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How do rewards help find lost things?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Yusuf is surah 12. Find ayah 72. The king's cup was 'missing'. A reward of a camel load was offered. The search was about to begin.
Fact: A camel load was a big reward. Find out how much grain one camel can carry.
Ages 5–8: Lost and found. Hide a cup and reward the finder with a hug!
Ages 9–12: Rewards. Write why offering rewards encourages honesty.
Finish with: "A camel can carry ___ of grain."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will return anything I find to its owner."
Action: Return anything you find to its owner.
