وَلَأَجْرُ ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ خَيْرٌۭ لِّلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَكَانُوا۟ يَتَّقُونَ
Wa la'aj'ru l-'ākhirati khay'run llilladhīna 'āmanū wakānū yattaqūna
But verily the reward of the Hereafter is the best, for those who believe, and are constant in righteousness.

For those who believe and stay mindful of Allah, what waits in the Hereafter is greater still.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Would you rather have a small treat now or a big gift later?"
Settle down and play the start of Saud Ash-Shuraim's Yusuf (alimanchannel).
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Which reward is better?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why is the Hereafter's reward greater?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Yusuf is surah 12. Find ayah 57. Yusuf received power in this world, but Allah reminds us the Hereafter's reward is even better. The reward of this world ends; the next one lasts forever.
Fact: Al-A'la 87:17 says the Hereafter is better and lasts longer. Read it.
Ages 5–8: Now or later. Talk about waiting for something better.
Ages 9–12: Two rewards. Write how this world's rewards compare to the next.
Finish with: "Al-A'la 87:17 says the Hereafter is ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will do one deed for the Hereafter."
Action: Do one deed for the Hereafter.
