قَالَ يَٰبُنَىَّ لَا تَقْصُصْ رُءْيَاكَ عَلَىٰٓ إِخْوَتِكَ فَيَكِيدُوا۟ لَكَ كَيْدًا ۖ إِنَّ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنَ لِلْإِنسَٰنِ عَدُوٌّۭ مُّبِينٌۭ
Qāla yābunayya lā taq'ṣuṣ' ru''yāka ʻalā 'ikh'watika fayakīdū laka kay'dan . 'inna shshay'ṭāna lil''insāni ʻaduwun mmubīnun
Said (the father): "My (dear) little son! relate not thy vision to thy brothers, lest they concoct a plot against thee: for Satan is to man an avowed enemy!

Ya'qub told his dear son not to tell his brothers about the dream in case they plotted against him, because Shaytan is a clear enemy to people.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Are there things it is wiser not to tell everyone?"
A short clip on Al-Lawh Al-Mahfuz recites ayat 1–10 of Yusuf. Play the whole clip.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Whom did Ya'qub tell Yusuf not to tell?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why can good news sometimes make others jealous?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Yusuf is surah 12. Find ayah 5. Ya'qub was a wise, loving father. He knew the brothers might feel jealous. He reminded Yusuf that Shaytan likes to stir up trouble between people. Some good news is best kept private.
Fact: Shaytan is called a 'clear enemy' in many places. Look up Al-Baqarah 2:208.
Ages 5–8: Wise or not? Talk about what is fine to share and what is better kept private.
Ages 9–12: Jealousy. Write how jealousy starts and how to stop it.
Finish with: "Al-Baqarah 2:208 says Shaytan is ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will be careful not to boast."
Action: Be careful not to boast.
