Ask: "Have you ever had a dream you remembered in the morning?"

aimeowang posted a short recitation of ayah 4 of Yusuf. Listen to all of it together.

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did Yusuf see in his dream?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "What could the stars, sun and moon stand for?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Yusuf is surah 12. Find ayah 4. Young Yusuf had a special dream and told his father, Prophet Ya'qub. We will find out at the end of the story what it meant. In earlier times a bow of honour was allowed; in Islam we bow and prostrate only to Allah.

Fact: The Sun is a star too. Find out how many times bigger the Sun is than the Moon.

Ages 5–8: Dream picture. Draw eleven stars, the sun and the moon.

Ages 9–12: Guess the meaning. Write a guess about what the dream means, then check at 12:100.

Finish with: "The Sun is about ___ times wider than the Moon."

Talk together:

• What did Yusuf dream?
• Which name of Allah does this remind you of?
• Whom do you tell about your dreams?
• Why do we bow only to Allah?

Make a small plan: "This week, I will tell my parents a good dream if I have one."
