يَٰصَىٰحِبَىِ ٱلسِّجْنِ أَمَّآ أَحَدُكُمَا فَيَسْقِى رَبَّهُۥ خَمْرًۭا ۖ وَأَمَّا ٱلْءَاخَرُ فَيُصْلَبُ فَتَأْكُلُ ٱلطَّيْرُ مِن رَّأْسِهِۦ ۚ قُضِىَ ٱلْأَمْرُ ٱلَّذِى فِيهِ تَسْتَفْتِيَانِ
How to read it
Yāṣāḥibayi ssij'ni 'ammā 'aḥadukumā fayas'qī rabbahu kham'ran . wa'ammā l-'ākharu fayuṣ'labu fata''kulu ṭṭay'ru min rra''sihī . quḍiya l-'am'ru -lladhī fīhi tas'taf'tiyāni
"O my two companions of the prison! As to one of you, he will pour out the wine for his lord to drink: as for the other, he will hang from the cross, and the birds will eat from off his head. (so) hath been decreed that matter whereof ye twain do enquire"...
