وَشَرَوْهُ بِثَمَنٍۭ بَخْسٍۢ دَرَٰهِمَ مَعْدُودَةٍۢ وَكَانُوا۟ فِيهِ مِنَ ٱلزَّٰهِدِينَ
Wa sharaw'hu bithamanin bakh'sin darāhima maʻ'dūdatin wakānū fīhi mina zzāhidīna
The (Brethren) sold him for a miserable price, for a few dirhams counted out: in such low estimation did they hold him!

Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Can you put a price on a person?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "How much was Yusuf sold for?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why didn't they see how precious Yusuf was?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Yusuf is surah 12. Find ayah 20. Yusuf, a future prophet, was sold for a few coins. People did not see his worth. But Allah knew his true value. People may not always see our worth, but Allah does.
Fact: Al-Hujurat 49:13 says the most honoured with Allah are the most God-conscious. Read it.
Ages 5–8: Priceless. Talk about things money cannot buy, like family and kindness.
Ages 9–12: True value. Write why a person's worth is not about money.
Finish with: "Al-Hujurat 49:13 says the most honoured are ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will tell someone what I value about them."
Action: Tell someone what you value about them.
