قَالُوا۟ لَئِنْ أَكَلَهُ ٱلذِّئْبُ وَنَحْنُ عُصْبَةٌ إِنَّآ إِذًۭا لَّخَٰسِرُونَ
Qālū la'in' 'akalahu dhdhi''bu wanaḥ'nu ʻuṣ'batun 'innā 'idhan llakhāssirūna
They said: "If the wolf were to devour him while we are (so large) a party, then should we indeed (first) have perished ourselves!"

They answered that if a wolf ate him while they were such a strong group, they would truly be failures.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Does being in a big group always make you safe?"
Put on Abdul Rahman Al-Ossi's Yusuf from Full Quran and follow along for a little while.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did the brothers say about themselves?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why can confident words still hide a lie?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Yusuf is surah 12. Find ayah 14. The brothers boasted about their strength to win their father's trust. Their words sounded good but hid their plan. Allah sees what is in hearts.
Fact: Al-Mulk 67:13 says Allah knows what is in hearts. Read it.
Ages 5–8: True or boast? Say a true sentence and a boasting sentence. Which is better?
Ages 9–12: Hearts. Write why Allah looks at hearts and not only words.
Finish with: "Al-Mulk 67:13 says Allah knows ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will say only what I truly mean."
Action: Say only what you truly mean.
