Nasser Al-Qatami recites ayat 42–44 in a short clip from The Verbatim Word of Allah. Listen for the moment Nuh calls out to his son.

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Whom did Nuh call to?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How did Nuh feel calling his son?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Hud is surah 11. Find ayah 42. The ark rode huge waves. Nuh, a loving father, called out to his son to come aboard. A parent's love wants their child safe, and safety was with the believers.

Fact: The tallest ocean waves ever measured were over 20 metres high. A sign to ponder: Allah kept the ark safe.

Ages 5–8: Wave height. Compare 20 metres to something you know, like a building.

Ages 9–12: A father's love. Write how Nuh showed love for his son.

Finish with: "A 20-metre wave is as tall as ___."

• Which name of Allah does this remind you of?
• How do parents show love?
• How can you listen to your parents?

Make a small plan: "This week, I will come straight away when my parents call me."
