Start with bismillah.

Ask: "Can anyone hide from Allah anywhere in the world?"

Begin Saud Ash-Shuraim's Hud on alimanchannel and listen for a few minutes.

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did these people refuse to do?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why does refusing to listen hurt us?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Hud is surah 11. Find ayah 20. Nowhere on earth is outside Allah's reach. These people closed their ears and eyes to the truth. The ayah's warning is short; the lesson is to keep our hearts open.

Fact: Al-Baqarah 2:7 speaks of hearts that won't listen. Read it with a grown-up.

Ages 5–8: Open ears. Play a listening game: close your eyes and name sounds you hear.

Ages 9–12: Open hearts. Write how to keep your heart open to good advice.

Finish with: "Al-Baqarah 2:7 says ___."

Talk together:
