4-I guide
This ayah describes people who are careless about their prayers, and reminds us to give our prayers our time and attention.
Start with bismillah.
Set an alarm clock or a phone alarm for one minute. When it rings, ask: "What helps you remember important things? An alarm? A grown-up? A habit?"
Watch the TED-Ed video about the body clock. Our bodies keep their own time every day!
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What were these people careless about?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How can I remember my prayers every day?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Ma'un is surah 107. Find ayah 5. Look at the word just before "prayers" in the translation. What does it tell us?
Fact: What is the body clock, and what does it help our bodies do?
Ages 5–8: Prayer chart. Make a chart with the five prayers for each day of the week. Add a sticker or a tick for each prayer you remember.
Ages 9–12: Focus test. Do three minutes of something quiet, like reading. Count how many times your mind wanders. Then try again after a deep breath. Did anything help you focus?
Finish with: "I found that ___ helps me remember and focus."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will prepare for ___ prayer five minutes early by ___."
Action: Do your plan daily, and notice how it feels.
