4-I guide
This ayah mentions the journeys of winter and summer, reminding us that Allah looks after people in every season.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What changes between winter and summer in places that have them? The weather? The food? The clothes?" (In Singapore and other places near the equator, ask about rainy and dry months instead.)
Watch the short NASA video about what causes the seasons.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Which two seasons does this ayah mention?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why is it hot in some places while it's cold in others?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Quraysh is surah 106. Find ayah 2. Which two seasons are named in the translation?
Fact: What really causes the seasons? (It's not how close the Earth is to the sun!).
Ages 5–8: Seasons wheel. Fold a paper plate into four parts and draw winter, spring, summer and autumn, with clothes and weather for each.
Ages 9–12: Tilt test. In a dark room, shine a torch on a ball (the Earth) tilted to one side. Move the ball in a circle around the torch. Which half gets more direct light at each point?
Finish with: "I found that the seasons happen because ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will thank Allah for today's weather at ___, and help someone who finds it hard (too hot, too wet, too cold)."
Action: Try your plan out each day this week.
