4-I guide
This ayah tells us that some people keep racing for more right up until the end of their lives.
Start with bismillah.
A gentle note for parents: you can talk about this as "the end of our life in this world", without any frightening detail.
Hold up a fallen leaf. Ask: "This leaf was once green and growing. Where did it come from, and where is it going now?"
Watch the short Natural History Museum video about why leaves change colour and fall.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Until when does this ayah say the racing goes on?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "What really matters at the end?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah At-Takathur is surah 102. Find ayah 2. How does it continue the sentence from ayah 1?
Fact: Why do leaves change colour and fall off trees in autumn?
Ages 5–8: Leaf journey. Collect leaves of different colours (or draw them): green, yellow, orange, brown. Put them in order from youngest to oldest.
Ages 9–12: Ask a grandparent or older relative: "What did you once race to get that doesn't matter to you now? What matters most now?"
Finish with: "I found that the things that matter most are ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will spend time on something that really matters: ___, with ___."
Action: Keep to your plan all week, and tick it off each day.
