4-I guide
This ayah repeats the call to read and tells us that our Lord is the Most Generous.
Start with bismillah.
Put a spoonful of honey on a plate. Let everyone taste a little. Ask: "Who made this? How many flowers do you think it took?"
Watch the SciShow Kids video about how bees make honey.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What does this ayah tell us about our Lord?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "What is the most generous thing Allah has given me?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-'Alaq is surah 96. Find ayah 3. Look for the word "Generous" or "Bountiful" in the translation. One of Allah's names comes from it: Al-Akram.
Fact: How many flowers do bees visit to make one spoonful of honey?
Ages 5–8: Gift count. Walk around your home and count ten gifts from Allah you can see, like water, light and food.
Ages 9–12: Pomegranate puzzle. Estimate how many seeds are inside one pomegranate, then open one and count them. How close were you?
Finish with: "I found that one pomegranate holds about ___ seeds."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will share ___ with ___."
Action: Keep your sharing plan and notice how it makes people feel.

Honey is not safe for babies under one year old. If anyone has allergies, skip the tasting.
