4-I guide
This ayah says: I have warned you of a blazing Fire.
Start with bismillah.
A gentle note for parents: keep this calm. A warning is a gift from someone who cares.
Press the test button on your smoke alarm (with an adult). Ask: "Why do we have something so loud in our home?"
Watch the NFPA Kids video with fire safety tips: what to do when the smoke alarm sounds.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What is Allah warning us about?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why does Allah warn us?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Layl is surah 92. Find ayah 14. The key word andhartukum means "I have warned you".
Fact: How does a smoke alarm know there is smoke?
Ages 5–8: Escape plan. Draw your home and mark two ways out of every room. Practise with your family.
Ages 9–12: Warning signs. Find five warning signs in your home or street. What is each one protecting you from?
Finish with: "I found that a smoke alarm works by ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will listen the first time I'm warned about ___."
Action: Practise your home escape plan together.

Never play with matches, lighters or candles. If the smoke alarm sounds, get out, stay out and call for help.
