Start with bismillah.

Ask: "Should you keep a promise even if others break theirs?"

Play the short At-Tawbah clip of ayat 1–10 from Aa Uliem Official.

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Whose treaties must be completed?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why does Allah love those who keep their promises?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah At-Tawbah is surah 9. Find ayah 4. Not everyone was treated the same. Tribes who kept their promises had their treaties honoured until the end. Islam teaches that keeping your word is part of taqwa, even with people of other faiths.

Fact: The Treaty of Hudaybiyyah and how the Muslims kept it.

Ages 5–8: Promise chain. Make a small promise to each family member and keep it.

Ages 9–12: Promise keeper. Write about a time keeping a promise was hard but right.

Finish with: "Allah loves those who are ___."

Talk together:

• Which treaties were kept?
• Which name of Allah does this remind you of?
• Why keep promises with everyone?
• Which promise will you keep this week?

Make a small plan: "This week, I will keep every promise I make."

• Keep your word.
• Start a promise chain.
• Allah loves the mindful.
• Next time: the next ayah (9:5) speaks of the end of the sacred months. Explore it together!

Action: Keep every promise you make.
