Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did they do with the sacred months?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why is changing Allah's rules for convenience wrong?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah At-Tawbah is surah 9. Find ayah 37. Before Islam, some Arabs moved the sacred months around so they could fight or trade when they wanted. Allah forbade this. His rules are not to be bent for our convenience.

Fact: The word nasi' means postponing a month.

Ages 5–8: Fair rules. Play a game; then try changing the rules mid-game. How does it feel?

Ages 9–12: No bending. Write why Allah's rules stay the same.

Finish with: "Moving the months was called ___."

Talk together:
