Ask: "Is it fair to give someone time before a change?"

Listen together as Mahmoud Khalil Al-Husary recites ayat 1–6 of At-Tawbah, a short clip shared by Hoor Academy.

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "How many months were they given?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why give the other side time first?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah At-Tawbah is surah 9. Find ayah 2. Even with people who broke their promises, Islam did not act suddenly. They were given four months of full safety to travel, think and decide. This shows fairness and mercy, even in hard times.

Ages 5–8: Fair warning. Practise giving a friend a fair warning before a game changes.

Ages 9–12: Fair and clear. Write why giving time before a change is fair.

Finish with: "They were given ___ months of safety."

Talk together:

• Which name of Allah does this remind you of?
• Why is warning first fair?
• When can you give people time to decide?

Make a small plan: "This week, I will give people a fair warning before changing plans."
