وَلَا يُنفِقُونَ نَفَقَةًۭ صَغِيرَةًۭ وَلَا كَبِيرَةًۭ وَلَا يَقْطَعُونَ وَادِيًا إِلَّا كُتِبَ لَهُمْ لِيَجْزِيَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ أَحْسَنَ مَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ
How to read it
Wa lā yunfiqūna nafaqatan ṣaghīratan walā kabīratan walā yaq'ṭaʻūna wādiyan 'illā kutiba lahum' liyaj'ziyahumu -llahu 'aḥ'sana mā kānū yaʻ'malūna
Nor could they spend anything (for the cause) - small or great- nor cut across a valley, but the deed is inscribed to their credit: that Allah may requite their deed with the best (possible reward).
