Start with bismillah.

Ask: "Is it fair to be punished for a rule you didn't know?"

Play this part of At-Tawbah and listen for how Allah makes things clear before He holds anyone to account.

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What does Allah do before holding people to account?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why does Allah explain first?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah At-Tawbah is surah 9. Find ayah 115. Some believers worried about duas they made before the rule in 9:113. Allah said He doesn't hold people to account before making things clear. Allah is fair and teaches first.

Fact: Find Al-Isra 17:15: We never punish until We send a messenger.

Ages 5–8: Explain rules. Explain a game's rules before playing.

Ages 9–12: Fair teaching. Write why explaining first is fair.
