4-I guide
This ayah asks: and at the earth, how it was spread out?
Start with bismillah.
Look out across the widest open space you can see. Ask: "Does the ground look flat or curved?"
Watch the NASA video in which a NASA expert explains how we know the Earth is round, even though it looks flat to us.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What does Allah ask us to look at?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "If the Earth is round, why does it look flat?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Ghashiyah is surah 88. Find ayah 20. The key word sutihat means spread out flat. The Earth is so huge that it's spread out wide and flat under our feet, so we can walk, build and farm.
Fact: How high do you need to go to see the curve of the Earth?
Ages 5–8: Ant on a ball. Put a tiny toy on a big ball. To the toy, does the ball look flat? Why?
Ages 9–12: Ship test. Find out how sailors noticed ships disappearing bottom-first over the horizon. What does that prove?
Finish with: "I found that the Earth looks flat because ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will go outside and look at ___ and think about Allah."
Action: Show someone the ant-on-a-ball trick.
