4-I guide
These earliest scrolls were the scrolls of Ibrahim and Musa.
Start with bismillah.
Bury a few small objects in a tray of sand. Let the children dig them out with a brush. Ask: "What can these objects tell us about who left them?"
Watch the Lesson Boosters video "What is Archaeology?".
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Which two prophets are named?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "What do I know about Ibrahim and Musa (peace be upon them)?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-A'la is surah 87. Find ayah 19, the last one. The ayah names Ibrahim and Musa (peace be upon them). Both are mentioned many times in the Quran. The scrolls they were given carried the same message as this surah.
Fact: How do archaeologists work out how old something is?
Ages 5–8: Sand dig. Bury "treasures" in a sand tray and dig them up carefully with a paintbrush. Draw what you find.
Ages 9–12: Prophet map. Find the surahs where Ibrahim and Musa (peace be upon them) are mentioned. Count how many you can find in Juz 'Amma and beyond.
Finish with: "I found that archaeologists date things by ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will learn one story of Prophet Ibrahim or Prophet Musa from the Quran with my family."
Action: Learn one story of these prophets from the Quran together.
