Or he would be reminded, and the reminder would help him.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What happens to a dry desert after a big rain?"
Watch the WION video about the Atacama Desert bursting into flower.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What could the reminder have done for the blind man?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How can a reminder change someone?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah 'Abasa is surah 80. Find ayah 4. The key words fa-tanfa'ahu adh-dhikra mean the reminder would benefit him. A heart that wants to learn is like dry ground waiting for rain.
Fact: How can seeds wait in a desert for years and then bloom?
Ages 5–8: Desert bloom. Sprinkle cress seeds on dry cotton wool. Wait two days, then add water. What happens?
Ages 9–12: Superbloom. Find out what has to happen for a desert "superbloom".
Finish with: "I found that desert seeds wait for ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will listen carefully to one reminder and act on it."
Action: Listen carefully to one reminder and act on it.
