And fruit and pasture.
Start with bismillah.
Cut open an apple. Ask: "Why does the fruit have seeds inside?"
Watch the Next Generation Science video about seed dispersal.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Which two things are named?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Who is the pasture for?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah 'Abasa is surah 80. Find ayah 31. The key words fakihatan wa abba mean fruit and pasture (grass and plants for animals). Allah provides for people and for animals.
Fact: How do animals help spread the seeds of fruit?
Ages 5–8: Seed count. Count the seeds in an apple, an orange and a tomato. Which has the most?
Ages 9–12: Seed travel. Find out four ways seeds travel (wind, water, animals, bursting).
Finish with: "I found that animals spread seeds by ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will share fruit with someone."
Action: Share fruit with someone.
