۞ وَإِن جَنَحُوا۟ لِلسَّلْمِ فَٱجْنَحْ لَهَا وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ
wa'in janaḥū li ssal'mi fa-j'naḥ' lahā watawakkal' ʻalā-llahi . 'innahu huwa ssamīʻu l-ʻalīmu
But if the enemy incline towards peace, do thou (also) incline towards peace, and trust in Allah: for He is One that heareth and knoweth (all things).

If the other side leans towards peace, lean towards it too and put your trust in Allah, for He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What should you do when someone offers peace?"
A short clip on Ummah Muslim recites ayah 61 of Al-Anfal. Play the whole clip.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What should believers do if the other side wants peace?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why does Islam love peace?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Anfal is surah 8. Find ayah 61. Even right after a battle, Allah told the Prophet: if they want peace, accept it. Peace is always preferred. Believers trust Allah when making peace.
Fact: What salam means and how it is part of the word Islam.
Ages 5–8: Peace offer. Make peace with someone after a quarrel.
Ages 9–12: Peace. Write why Islam prefers peace.
Finish with: "If they incline to peace, you ___ to it too."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will accept an apology or offer one."
Action: Accept an apology or offer one.
