Start with bismillah.

Ask: "Can things look different from how they really are?"

For a few quiet minutes, listen to Yasser Al-Dosari reciting Al-Anfal, shared by Quranic Voice.

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "How did each side see the other?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How can Allah change what eyes see?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Anfal is surah 8. Find ayah 44. Allah made each side see the other as small. The believers felt brave and the attackers felt overconfident. All of it was part of Allah's plan.

Fact: How distance can make things look smaller than they are.

Ages 5–8: Near and far. Look at a toy up close and from far away.

Ages 9–12: Perception. Write how Allah's plan used what people saw.

Finish with: "All matters return to ___."

Talk together:

• How did each side see the other?
• Which name of Allah does this remind you of?
• Why did Allah do this?
• When do things look different than they are?

Make a small plan: "This week, I will remember that things may not be as they look."

• Allah controls all.
• Look near and far.
• Everything returns to Him.
