Start with bismillah.

Ask: "Do you remember when you were small and needed help for everything?"

Play the short Al-Anfal clip of ayat 21–30 from Ayesha Tariq.

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did Allah give them?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why should we remember where we started?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Anfal is surah 8. Find ayah 26. The early Muslims in Makkah were few and mistreated. Allah gave them a safe home in Madinah, help and good provision. Remembering this keeps us thankful.

Fact: How many years the Muslims were in Makkah before the Hijrah? About thirteen.

Ages 5–8: Then and now. Look at a baby photo and talk about Allah's care.

Ages 9–12: Gratitude. Write three ways Allah has looked after you since you were small.

Finish with: "The Muslims were in Makkah about ___ years before the Hijrah."

Talk together:

• What were they like before?
• Which name of Allah does this remind you of?
• What did Allah give them?
• How has Allah cared for you?

Make a small plan: "This week, I will thank Allah for how He has cared for me."

• Remember Allah's care.
• Look at old photos.
• Be thankful.
